BT Design

Maria Pardee joined BT in September 2005 as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for BT Retail. As a member of the Retail leadership team, her role was to drive and develop the business by identifying and shaping opportunities to gain strategic and operational advantages through the use of IT solutions. Working with leaders across the Retail line of business, Maria drove transformation and the translation of the high-level vision into new services/ways of working by focusing on three basic e2e customer experiences — concept to market (C2M), lead to cash (L2C) and trouble to resolve (T2R).

After a successful tenure as CIO, Maria moved on to lead the Global Integration Team within BT Design in July of 2007. As President of GI, Maria is responsible for leveraging and utilizing all investments and relationships to fully capitalize on current corporate capabilities and provide the customer with customizable solutions to every day business problems. She has a passion for innovation and speed to market and works daily on breaking down traditional ways of working to transform her organization into a fast, customer-centered solution hothouse. She is also responsible for talent integration across BT’s global expansion and strives make BT the leading networked IT solutions company in the 21st Century by leveraging talent across the business functions.

Previously, Maria worked for BearingPoint Inc, a company that provides business consulting, systems integration and managed services to Global 2000 companies, medium-sized businesses, and government organisations.

She has more than 25 years telecommunications and IT experience, and at BearingPoint, she was Managing Director of the Communications and Content Division where she quickly and significantly increased revenues, pipeline and engagement opportunities. Before that, she was a vice-president at American Management Systems Inc, where she managed more than 20 software development and management consulting initiatives.
